UPSC CDS-II Recruitment 2026 : Mode of Selection The selection process for UPSC CDS-II Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages: Written Examination Candidates must appear in the CDS-II written examination conducted by UPSC. The exam consists of objective-type questions. For IMA, INA & AFA: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. For OTA: English and General Knowledge only. SSB Interview (Services Selection Board) Candidates who qualify in the written examination are called for the SSB Interview. The SSB process includes: Stage-I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and PP&DT (Picture Perception & Description Test) Stage-II: Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Personal Interview, and Conference. Medical Examination Candidates recommended by the SSB Board must undergo a detailed medical examination as per the standards prescribed by the Armed Forces. Final Merit List The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the Written Examination and SSB Interview, subject to medical fitness and document verification.
